David Baker's Money-Making Scheme
In the process of exposing Johnny Nixon and Born that Way Ministries, I started digging a little deeper into this "Independent Baptist Online College" that Johnny Nixon and Bob Gray Sr. are involved in together. I noticed that the vice president of the college is David Baker who is also buddies with Johnny Nixon and “likes” everything Nixon posts on Facebook.
I came across this shocking infomercial where David Baker explains to pastors how they can make money by starting their own chapters of the unacredited online college. He basically wants pastors to get the young people in their churches to sign up for this online Bible college that they can do locally instead of going away to school, but it gets weirder...
Here’s how it works:
A pastor who signs up to start his own chapter of the college can make money by contributing one of his own classes. He is supposed to submit a video of himself teaching on some subject, and the members of his church who enroll in the college can pay to take that class. The tuition is 100 dollars per credit, and of that hundred dollars, the pastor who created the video and did the teaching only gets 30 dollars per credit.
In the example David Baker gives, he explains that if one hundred students each pay 200 dollars for a two-credit course, the pastor makes 6,000 bucks. Remember, the pastor only gets 30 percent, but these guys with the online college get 70 percent. That means David Baker and friends over at Independent Baptist Online College get 14,000 dollars for a class that some pastor taught in his own church!
The example course was “personal evangelism.” I guess as a pastor, I’m supposed to go to an empty room somewhere and talk into a camera and explain how to do soul-winning. Instead of uploading that video to YouTube where people can watch it for free, I should instead send it in to David Baker. He will then send it back to members of my church and charge them 200 dollars each to watch it.
Shouldn’t a pastor, who is already getting a salary to teach and preach the Bible, be giving people in his church this important information for free instead of charging them for it? Not only that, but why would anyone want to pay for an unaccredited online college anyway, when so much information is already available for free?
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10
Here is the video where I expose this scam in more detail.

Putting the "I" Back in IFB
Lately, I've been expressing my disappointment with Bob Gray Sr. as as one of the "leaders" of the IFB movement. This is not to say that the independent fundamental Baptist movement needs new leadership. Independent Baptist churches ought to be independent in every sense of the word. We need to stop elevating fundamental popes like Bob Gray Senior. Yes, we have conferences where we enjoy good preaching and have fellowship with like-minded churches, but without Bible colleges, we treat our pastor friends as equals.
Each pastor is the leader of his own church, and he has the power to send out faithful men who he feels are qualified to pastor their own churches. Churches should beget other churches, but as independent Baptist pastors, we should be careful not to create a new hierarchy. We need to maintain a lateral relationship with other pastors. Missions boards and Bible colleges dictating what is or is not preached in many churches is akin to a denomination.
Here's a start, independent Baptist...Throw away your Bible college notes, and do your own study on end times prophecy. If everyone did that, we’d have a lot more people believing in the post tribulation rapture. Or how about using your own common sense and spiritual discernment to determine what a biblical "eunuch" is and is not?
If you still have doubts about the "eunuch" thing, then visit Johnny Nixon’s facebook page to decide for yourself whether or not he is a separated, fundamental Baptist. Have you considered the source of "Born that Way Ministries" or are you just assuming it’s fine because Bob Gray Sr. supports it?
Everyone is susceptible to peer pressure, which can be both good and bad. That said, Bible college driven hierarchies can become too powerful of an influence. While one leader might make a positive impact, his successor might take things in another direction.
When you make the Bible your authority and let the Holy Spirit guide you, you are a true independent Baptist. If you see something wicked going on in other churches like this “Born that Way” garbage, then speak out against it. Don’t let some Bible college president muzzle you just because he is older and has a large following.
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
Here is a sermon on why Bible college is unscriptural and wrong.
3 Things Churches Waste Money On
1. Church Building
Cathedral-style buildings with high ceilings may look impressive, but we can seat just as many people in an office space with basic drop-tile ceilings. To accommodate a congregation of 300 people and have adequate parking, a typical church building in the Phoenix area would cost around two million dollars to purchase. Having a building with bling factor does nothing to further the work of the Lord, and property ownership can end up being a drain on a church’s finances.
Have you noticed all the walls we’ve knocked down lately as we keep expanding? Our landlord paid for that. The property owner maintains and even remodels the property for us, which saves us a ton of money. Renting a space in a “strip mall” also gives us the flexibility to downsize to a smaller unit if attendance were to drop substantially.
2. Christian School
In Acts 6 where it talks about what pastors and church employees are supposed to be spending their time doing, there is no mention of a Christian school. There is no mention of a Christian school anywhere else in the Bible either. It is the job of the parents to raise their children, not the employees of the church. Not only is a church school unbiblical, but in order to keep tuition affordable, the school usually ends up leeching off of the church’s finances. I talked about this in my sermon on “The Christian Fool Movement.”
3. Bogus Missionaries
Instead of organizing their own fruit-bearing ministry, churches tend to throw a lot of money at missionaries. I’m all for supporting missions, but we should also be doing some of the work ourselves. A lot of “missions-minded” churches don’t have much of a soul-winning program, let alone plan their own missions trips. When we do support a missionary, we need to make sure he is a hard worker and not a MOOCHinary.
If you’ve ever struggled to find a good church in your area, then you know how many pastors are wrong on salvation and/or do not go soul-winning. Unfortunately, it’s even harder to find a doctrinally sound, productive missionary. Most missionary letters are vague, so churches often know very little about the day to day activities of the missionaries they support.
There just isn’t enough accountability when a missionary is supported by a hundred different churches that are each sending him 25 dollars a month. When a church takes on a missionary for support, they ought to send him a large enough amount, so that they actually care what he is doing.
We send money to missionaries we know personally who were bona fide soul winners before they headed off to the mission field. Other missionaries, we have gotten to know by visiting the mission field and seeing the work they are doing first hand. At the very least, churches need to make sure the missionaries they support are preaching the right plan of salvation and are regularly publishing quantifiable results.

Resiko Berbahaya Yang Di Timbulkan Oleh Pasar
Tim Yang Kuat Itu Merupakan Suatu Keharusan

Born that Way: A Doctrine of Convenience
As recently as 10 to 20 years ago, independent fundamental Baptists still preached hard against the Sodomites. I remember when I was a teenager, hearing pastor Steve Nichols thundering from the pulpit of Regency Baptist Church that they are recruiters, not reproducers.
I’ve also heard recordings of old-time preachers teaching the doctrine of rejecting God and becoming a reprobate. Some only loosely associated homosexuality with being a reprobate, but most of them at least understood what a reprobate was, and they knew that it is too late for some people.
Listen to this clip from Brother Hyles about reprobates:
Instead of preachers admitting they are compromising, they often pretend to agree with something they really don’t believe. Bob Gray knows he doesn’t personally believe that eunuch garbage, but for some reason, he is going along with it. I can’t figure out who he is trying to please by teaming up with Johnny Nixon, but perhaps someone out there can enlighten me.
Watch this video by Brother Jeff Utzler to hear what Bob Gray Sr. said about homosexuality in his own book:
An “old grizzled veteran” like Bob Gray Sr., who has been in the ministry for years, knows full well what a reprobate is. I realize he doesn’t agree with me jot and tittle, but it is dishonest of him to pretend he doesn’t know what I mean when I explain my position. He has created a strawman argument to change the subject and try to make me look like a heretic. He says I must not believe Christ died for everyone, and he’ll accuse me of being a Calvinist.
Bob Gray thinks he can skirt the real issue because he is counting on the ignorance of his followers who have sat under shallow, one-issue preaching for too long. The people defending him on his Facebook page don’t even seem to know what he believes about salvation since they are saying one has to repent of sins to be saved. Perhaps Johnny Nixon’s book is among the merchandise being sold on the back table at their churches because that’s the same type of salvation the book, Born that Way After All, teaches.
This eunuch thing is a doctrine of convenience. It is a way for compromisers to be more politically correct in their attitude toward Sodomites. Born that Way Ministries is an attempt to meet the Sodomites halfway. No doubt, some Sodomites will be willing to take a vow of celibacy in order to work in the children’s ministry of some church. Maybe when people find out the truth about Born that Way Ministries’ sinister agenda, they will jump ship, and churches like Faithful Word Baptist Church will become a refuge for families with young children.
False doctrine is often developed as a way to reconcile the teachings of the Bible with the world’s philosophies. I’m not that surprised that someone is teaching a false doctrine about eunuchs, but I am surprised it is being accepted by fundamental Baptists.
What’s next, Bob Gray? Theistic evolution? The gap theory? Lordship salvation? Oh, that’s right. It’s only okay to embrace a false doctrine if Brother Hyles didn’t specifically address it. The Sodomite issue wasn’t as much of a problem in Brother Hyles' day, but if he were alive today, he might need to preach on the subject more often.
Stay in your time warp, I guess. Be sure to warn people about the movie houses and the hippie movement. Meanwhile, I will continue to keep my congregation up to date on the important spiritual battles of today.
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2

Tell Your Pastor You Don't Want Bob Gray!
Bob Gray, Sr. continues to promote the perverted Johnny Nixon and his "Born that Way Ministries."
Homosexuals were NOT born any other way than anyone else! They weren't "born eunuchs" as these false teachers claim. They CHOSE to go down the dark path of rejected and hating God, which led them into the worst kind of perversion. The so-called LGBT are not victims: they are predators and pedophiles hell bent on infiltrating churches, schools, the boy scouts, and everywhere else they can.
Below is Bob Gray, Sr.'s preaching itinerary for 2017. If you go to one of the churches on this list, you should kindly and respectfully let your pastor know about Bob Gray's new "born that way" affiliation. He may not even be aware of this cute new "homosexuals are actually confused eunuchs" doctrine. Don't just let this garbage take over our churches without saying anything. Bob Gray is on the road to promote his Independent Baptist Online College, and pervert Johnny Nixon is the Bible teacher! Please explain the situation to your pastor, and I would suggest letting him know that if Bob Gray is preaching, you will be skipping that service. Either that, or people should use the opportunity to show up and try to talk some sense into Bob Gray. The following verse should guide you as you approach your pastor:
"Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;" - 1 Timothy 5:1
Remember, your pastor may not know that Bob Gray is promoting "Born that Way After All," so give him the benefit of the doubt going into the conversation.

Guyana Update as of February 2nd
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20
The 40-day Revival in Guyana has a been a huge success and continues to gain momentum. In the past eight days, 80 souls have been saved, and 24 people have been baptized. New Testament Baptist Church in Guyana had more baptisms during the first week of the revival than they had last year for the entire 40 days! Attendance numbers are continually increasing aside from a slight setback during a storm. At last count, they had over 200 people in the service.
Missions board director, Chip Stowe, is attacking Pastor Ram Angad for associating with me and has even told Pastor Ram that he will miss the rapture and go to Hell! Even Chip’s wife, Angi Stowe, is attacking Pastor Ram on Facebook. I don’t know much about the Stowes except that they must really hate me. Maybe they should stop worrying about who is helping with the revival now that they are no longer involved in it.
People are getting saved at the revival services as well as during door-to-door soul winning. One of the most recent soul-winning highlights was three Hindu family members in one house all getting saved. Brother Garrett and his soul-winning partner went back to visit that family the next day and got a fourth family member saved. Praise the Lord!
Charlie Jeffrey from Faithful Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona, and the Gallaghers from Verity Baptist Church in Vancouver, Washington, recently arrived to help with the soul winning, and in one day, the team had 18 people saved out door-to-door.
I try to mirror Brother Garrett Kirchway’s videos on my channel when I have time, but you can visit Brother Garrett’s Youtube Channel: Fwbc Botswana or Ram Angad’s Facebook page for up to the minute updates on the 40-day Revival. Please continue to pray for those laboring in Guyana.
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32
