Several days ago, I made a YouTube video asking you to consider booking a theater in your area to show our new film, Babylon USA. The idea was to get this important film shown in theaters across America, and thanks to many of you, there are already a lot of screenings scheduled! Theaters have been booked all across America by churches, groups of friends, and even individuals. The following is a list of cities where you can see this exciting new documentary on the big screen before it becomes available on YouTube. (The only way to see it sooner is to donate $1,000 or more to the film.)

There will be more details announced soon, but this is just a preliminary update, so you can start making plans. The above list is just the showings that are definitely scheduled, but there are several more in the works. The following are cities that don’t have an exact time and place nailed down yet or perhaps need additional funding but already have specific people working on them:

There has been interest expressed in a lot of other cities and even overseas--we just need more of you to step up to the plate and start calling theaters. This is just a grass roots movement to get the film seen, and we need your help. One of the ground rules is that you need to show a receipt proving that you’ve booked the theater before we can send you the DVD or Blue-Ray. Also, you need to either be someone we know or someone we know must be able to vouch for you. Anyone interested in helping should request to join the Babylon USA Theater Organization Facebook group or contact Paul Wittenberger at Framing the World Productions.
If you have the money, you could rent the theater yourself, or perhaps several people in your area could chip in. Another option would be handing out flyers and selling tickets to recoup some of the money you invested. How you pay for it is up to you, we just want to get the message out there. The prices are all over the place. I heard about one theater that agreed to play the film for free! Others only cost two or three hundred dollars. I think the highest price I heard about was $1,700. The window for playing the film is July 10th through August 5th, so you will need to book the theater during that time. You do the leg work, you do the paperwork, you get the funding, and then just send us the receipt, and we’ll send you the DVD or Blue Ray in plenty of time for your showing. You can also simply contact Framing the World Productions and make a donation toward one of the screenings that is still in need of funding.
Thank you everybody who has worked hard and/or shelled out hundreds of dollars to help get these important truths out there. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and cannot thank you enough! The film, Babylon USA is in “post-production,” meaning that it is almost finished, and what I’ve seen of it is awesome!
These movies are powerful. Every day I hear about someone else who got saved after watching one of our films. If you live near one of the above cities, please show your support by showing up for the screening. People are going to a lot of trouble to make this happen, so let’s pack out the theaters. Since we will be promoting the showings on facebook and YouTube, attending one of these events is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people in your area.
